Join us at Pilates House Roland Park for an experience led by Pilates House founder Penny Lane and pelvic floor physical therapist Dr. Sam DuFlo, designed to help you build a deeper connection to your pelvic floor.
This session explores how the pelvic floor evolves throughout your lifetime, from pre-pregnancy and postpartum to the often unspoken shifts in strength, control, and intimacy that come with hormonal changes and aging. We’ll openly explore the connection between the pelvic floor and pleasure, including what’s happening in the body during orgasm and why strength, coordination, and the ability to both contract and fully release matter.
The experience begins with a guided Pilates class led by Penny Lane, focused on deep core activation, posture, and glute and hip strength, helping you build a stronger, more responsive connection to your pelvic floor.
You’ll then transition into an open, honest discussion with Dr. Sam DuFlo, where we break down how the pelvic floor functions, how to properly contract and fully release it, and how to support your body through every phase of life. We’ll also cover what’s common but not normal, and why symptoms like leaking, discomfort, or changes in pleasure deserve more attention and better solutions.
